We are growing in COHO!

Parker County is now the 5th fastest growing county in the U.S in annual percentage population growth with Hudson Oaks growing as well to over 3,500 people today. Although growing, Hudson Oaks still retains that same hometown charm while remaining business friendly and tax free.  While the no city ad-valorem tax is part of the attraction to Hudson Oaks driving the growth, so are the proximity to the growing DFW metro-plex, great school districts (Aledo and Weatherford ISDs), easy I-20 access, along with the numerous amenities, services, and events (such as Boomin 4th).

City council and city staff stability has also been important in Hudson Oaks growth and success with only six mayors since the city’s inception in 1978 and formal contested elections a rarity though three council/mayor positions being up for election each year.

Our goal is to keep Hudson Oaks permanently tax free; a great place to live and raise a family; and a great place to work and do business, or just visit!

- Mayor Tom Fitzpatrick
