Public Information Request

The Public Information Act (Act) provides the public with the right to request access to city records for inspection or to obtain copies (fees apply).

A municipality must make a good faith effort to provide access or copies of requested city records in a prompt manner. The Act states: promptly meant that a government body may take a reasonable amount of time to produce the information, but may not delay.

While the Act is not structured to answer questions, staff is available in each city department to answer questions related to services, programs, and projects.
