Tom graduated from Texas A&M University in 1985, with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering. He later graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1993, with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He is currently employed with the Texas Department of Transportation. Tom, his wife Judy, and their three children have lived in Hudson Oaks since 1994.
