New Speed Limit Set For US Highway 180
Posted August 22nd, 2007In March of 2007, the City requested the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to conduct a speed analysis for US 180 from Lakeshore Drive to our western city limit to determine if the 55 miles per hour speed limit should be reduced to 45 miles per hour. Their final analysis determined that the speed limit should be reduced.
At the July 26th City Council Meeting, an ordinance was approved to reduce the speed limit from 55 miles per hour to 45 miles per hour on US 180 from Lakeshore Drive to the western city limit.
