Stage 1 (voluntary) Water Restrictions

In response to seasonally dry weather and rising water demand the City of Hudson Oaks has initiated Stage 1 (voluntary) water restrictions. The City projects that water demand levels will consistently rise over the next several weeks and continue through the next several months. The purpose of Stage 1 (voluntary) water restrictions is to raise the Public’s awareness of the need to conserve water and encourage responsible use.

Residents and Businesses are voluntarily asked to conserve water by irrigating before 7 AM and after 7 PM, changing water schedules to longer, less frequent intervals, and by checking for leaks around their business or house.

The City of Hudson Oaks Water Conservation Policy and information on how to conserve water can be found on the City website under the water conservation link, at www.HudsonOaks.com.

Storm Related Brush Collection

The City of Hudson Oaks has coordinated a special storm related brush and bulk trash collection for Saturday, April 26, 2008.

Duncan Disposal will collect all storm related debris placed on the curb. Uncollectible items (tires, batteries, paint, etc.) will not be collected. Depending upon the amount of debris that remains after the Saturday collection, an additional collection may be scheduled for the following Saturday, May 3, 2008. The special collection would be in lieu of customers calling Duncan to schedule a pickup as usually required on the first Saturday of the month.

For additional information, please contact City Hall by dialing 817-596-4899.

New Residential Solid Waste Rates

Beginning September 1, 2007 the current residential rates will increase by 14.45%, from $8.95 per month to $10.24. This increase is due to a recent change in area landfill rates. The landfill located at I-30 and Linkcrest closed earlier this year, which resulted in a 60% increase to the disposal rates being charged Duncan Disposal. Duncan is now transporting the waste collected in Hudson Oaks to the Weatherford Landfill, which is now the only available disposal site located in the Parker County area.
