Stage 2 Water Conservation
Posted April 1st, 2013Due to continuing drought conditions, low lake levels, and contractual requirements with our surface water provider; the City of Hudson Oaks is moving to Stage 2 of our water conservation plan. Stage 2 limits outdoor irrigation to two days per week.
Effective immediately, residential customers with addresses ending in an odd number (1,3,5,7,9) may only water on Wednesday and Saturday. Residential addresses ending in an even number (0,2,4,6,8) may only water on Thursday and Sunday. Commercial customers may only water on Tuesday and Friday. As a reminder, daytime watering is prohibited between the hours of 10am-6pm and hose end watering and soaker hose use may occur any day of the week.
If new landscaping is installed, residents or builders may request a 30 day waiver to allow for plant establishment by contacting city hall at 682-229-2400. For tips on drought resistant plants and water conservation click here.

New Water Rates Adopted
Posted April 23rd, 2010On April 22, 2010, the Hudson Oaks City Council adopted a new rate structure for the City's water system. The new rate structure is based on the results of a scientific rate study conducted by a third-party engineering firm specializing in such analysis.
Utility bills mailed to Hudson Oaks Water System customers on April 23 contained a letter from City Administrator Sheri Campbell-Husband explaining the new rate structure and listing the new rates themselves. A copy of that letter is available in the PDF file linked below.
The new rates go into effect with the May 2010 billing cycle, which means they will apply to all water consumption after April 8. Any water customers with questions about the new rates are encouraged to call Hudson Oaks City Hall at 682-229-2400.
