In May of 2007, Councilmember Paula Wigley was elected to Place 5 of the Hudson Oaks City Council.

Paula was born the twin and fourth child of five children to a military man and his wife in Salina, Kansas. This gave Paula the opportunity to live in many different places including: Kansas, New York, Japan, California and Texas, where her father retired from Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth. She graduated from Southwest High School in the Wedgwood neighborhood of Fort Worth in 1981.

After receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics and Finance from Texas Wesleyan University, she spent fourteen years in the private sector working for companies such as General Dynamics, Rediffusion Flight Simulation, Inc. and GTE. She is now a small business owner and has been for five years.

Paula has been married to her husband, John Wigley, a native of Cooper Texas, for nineteen years. Like many people in the area, he works at Lockheed Martin in Business Management assigned to the F-35 program. She has two sons, one who is a freshman at Aledo High School and plays trumpet in the Marching Band and the other who is in the 6th grade at McAnally Intermediate who has been active in soccer for three years.

Since high school, Paula has been involved in a variety of civic and community activities, including a two year tenure as president of a national women’s organization. Paula is excited about the opportunity to serve her community on the Hudson Oaks City Council.
