City Hosting Three Events for National Night Out
Posted September 9th, 2010Tuesday, October 5 is National Night Out in Texas. The City of Hudson Oaks is hosting special events in three locations to encourage everyone in the Hudson Oaks community to participate. From 5 to 8 p.m., residents throughout the community will come together to meet their neighbors, ask questions of police and other City staff, and to learn what they can do to help prevent crime in their neighborhoods.
National Night Out is an event developed by the National Association of Town Watch. It is designed to:
*Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
*Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs;
*Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and
*Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
Hudson Oaks residents are encouraged to come out to the event location nearest where they live.
*North of I-20: Meet at the intersection of Gray Wolf and Red Eagle
*Parker Oaks: Meet in the 100 block of Addison
*Diamond Oaks: Meet at 212 S. Lakeshore Drive
