Deferral Options
You have options in keeping citations off of your record. You may take a drivers safety course (DSC) or you may defer your citation.
DSC- You can only take a drivers safety course once every 12 months. To request DSC you must do so by paying the fee of $103.00 within 11 days of recieving the ticket. A copy of your drivers license and insurance will need to be turned in when you request DSC. You will have 90 days to complete your class. You must request your drivers record from the state to prove you have not taken a drivers safety course within the last 12 months, we will provide this for you by clicking online documents or by recieving it from the Municipal Court. When you have completed your drivers safety course, and have recieved your certificate you must bring it to the court. You will have to sign your certificate in front of the clerk. Also, bring your drivers record to the court as well.
Deferral- The fee is the fine amount and additional $50.00 for every violation except FMFR.
