Daniel David

Councilmember Dan David joined the City Council in May of 2007, filling an unexpired term for Place 3.

Dan was born and raised in East Texas and is proud to be a fifth generation Texan. After receiving a Bachelor of Science from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1969, he enrolled in the United States Air Force.

Dan served as a pilot in the Air Force and even flew in the U-2 program. While in the military, he received a Master of Public Administration from Golden Gate University. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1989 and joined American Airlines as a pilot. During his time at American he was able to fly all over the world and see many interesting places. During his tenure, he rose to the rank of captain. In 2005, Dan retired from American Airlines.
Dan has lived in Hudson Oaks since 1991 with his wife Carolyn. Dan and Carolyn have been married for 37 years and have one daughter, Nicole, who lives with her husband in Dallas.

Dan has always had an interest in serving on the City Council, but as an airline pilot his free time was limited. After retirement Dan saw the opportunity to serve on the Council and was honored to accept the appointment. Dan is eager to serve the citizens and work with his with fellow City Council Members to address issues the City faces both now and in the future.
