City Administrator's Office

The City Administrator's Office (CAO) is responsible for the efficient and effective implementation of Council policy throughout the organization. The CAO accomplishes this responsibility by managing the day to day affairs of the City, coordinating the official business of the City Council, providing leadership and direction to the entire organization, responding to requests for information and assistance, and by acting as the liason between City government and the City Council.

Robert Hanna was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. He attended the University of North Texas where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts and Sciences in December of 1999, with concentrations in History, Sociology and Political Science. He was named a Hatton W. Sumners Fellow and in 2001, he received a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of North Texas. In the course of completing his Master's degree, Robert served as the City Manager's Office Intern for the Town of Addison.
In 2001, Robert was hired by the City of Denton as a Management Assistant for the City Manager's Office. He was promoted and asked to serve in various positions as the Assistant to the City Manager and finally as the Airport Operations Manager. He accepted an offer to serve as the Assistant City Administrator for the City of Hudson Oaks in October of 2005, and was appointed City Administrator by the Hudson Oaks City Council in August of 2006.
Robert and his wife Cindy enjoy traveling, reading, hiking and the company of their four dogs and one cat.
